BACK TO CONFERENCE
Have you just started or are yet to begin your export journey?
The Energy Exports Conference 2019 was the perfect platform to get off the ground running in your export journey. If you’re yet to start, or at the very early stages of exporting, the Inspiring Exports stream was designed to equip you with the why, where, when and how of exporting. Attendees could find out about preparing to export, selecting the right market, market entry options, navigating regulations, financing your international growth and identifying international customers.
Delegates attending the Inspiring Exports stream could walk away with a solid foundation of how to get started, get support from leading industry and market experts, widen networks and learn about minimizing the risk of reliance on domestic markets.
There were also inspiring success stories, with a series UK SMEs in the energy sector who shared their experiences of exporting, having been in the same position not long ago. As well as sharing what went right about their journey – speakers discussed what went wrong and what they would do again if they had the chance to start over.
Attendees found out how they got started and what organisations they used for support in the early stages, as well as what advice they would give to new exporters thinking about making the leap into global markets. Department of International Trade and Scottish Development International were on hand to introduce you to agencies who offer funding, tools and advice to support companies to export successfully.
